1. Publisher of the application and website
The CoupleUp mobile application and the coupleup.store website are published and operated under the CoupleUp brand (hereinafter “the Publisher”).

CoupleUp is an independent project in its launch phase. The Publisher’s registration details (legal form, SIRET number, address) will be added to this page as soon as the operating entity is registered. For any inquiry, the Publisher can be contacted at the address above and undertakes to respond as promptly as possible.

3. Intellectual property
Application content
All elements making up the CoupleUp application (text, graphics, logo, icons, interface, source code, architecture) are the exclusive property of the Publisher or are used with permission.
Any reproduction, representation, modification, publication or adaptation of all or part of these elements, by any means or process whatsoever, is prohibited without the prior written consent of the Publisher.
Trademark
The CoupleUp name and associated logo are used by the Publisher. Any unauthorized use constitutes infringement, punishable under Articles L.713-1 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code.
Note: trademark registration with the INPI (the French intellectual property office) is planned once traction is confirmed (classes 9 and 42).
User content
Content entered by users in the application (journal entries, messages, quiz answers) remains the property of the user. The Publisher acquires no intellectual property rights over this content.
4. Personal data
The processing of users’ personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, available from:

5. Cookies and trackers
The mobile application does not use cookies in the traditional sense. It uses technical identifiers strictly necessary for its operation (Firebase session tokens, anonymized PostHog identifiers).
The coupleup.store website may use anonymized audience-measurement cookies. A cookie policy is available on the website.
6. Liability
Application content
The Publisher strives to provide accurate, up-to-date information but cannot guarantee that the content is complete, accurate or current at all times.
The CoupleUp application is not a medical, psychological or therapeutic service. The content provided (relationship advice, AI rephrasing, mood tracking) is for informational purposes only and is no substitute for care from a qualified healthcare professional.
Service availability
The Publisher cannot be held liable for service interruptions caused by maintenance operations, technical failures of hosting providers, or events beyond its control (force majeure).
External links
The application may contain links to third-party websites or services. The Publisher has no control over them and accepts no liability for their content, availability or compliance.
7. Consumer mediation
In accordance with Articles L.616-1 and R.616-1 of the French Consumer Code, the Publisher offers a consumer mediation scheme.
In the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved amicably, you may refer the matter, free of charge, to the following consumer mediator:

8. Governing law and jurisdiction
This Legal Notice is governed by French law.
In the event of a dispute between the user and the Publisher, the parties will endeavor to reach an amicable solution. Failing that, the French courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
